The Balm

I currently have three products from the balm;

•Nude-tude palette  theBalm Nude 'Tude Eyeshadow Palette - Naughty 11.08g
•Put a lid on it - eyelid primer theBalm Put A Lid On It...Eyelid Primer 11.8ml
•Desert Bronzer theBalm Balm Desert Bronzer/Blush 6.39g

From a recent shopping trip (yes another one!) I noticed that super drug are now stocking The Balm, which is the best news ever it now means I can expand my collection more easily as its so accessible! How exciting!!!

Now let's get on to the actual products, they are definitely on the pricier side, but the quality is amazing! I would highly recommend the brand! The eyelid primer is amazing when used in conjunction with the Nude-tude palette, the colours don't crease and are so highly pigmented. They are so buttery and soft and honestly blend out like a dream. Also I have found its one of the best palettes I have for all the colours being usable, they are all beautiful, I can use all of them for any look. My favourite shade from it is 'Sexy' as it is such a unique burnt red colour, perfect for adding extra depth to a smoky eye. The bronzer is slightly too dark for my complexion but to use as a contour is perfect. It blends out so natural, so looks like a natural contour created by the light. It is also buttery and soft and doesn't look muddy at all.

Anyway I hope you enjoyed this review and I would definitely recommend it to you!

My Gerard Cosmetics Experience

So about a month ago I placed an order on Gerard Cosmetics. As I have heard such mixed reviews about the brand, I wanted to give them a chance, have my own opinion on them. So after spending over £50 I was quite content with my order and placed it - it qualified for free shipping as well so that was a bonus.

After waiting two weeks and the tracking not being updated I messaged them. They were so polite and explained it could take up to 4 weeks, at this point I was still very positive about the company. Then a week later I got a slip through saying my parcel couldnt be delivered as there was an outstanding charge of £11.98. I couldnt understand why as I qualified for free shipping, so I messaged them again. This was when (there very laid back, on the verge of unprofessional) replies grew to annoy me and were rather patronizing, saying it was a custom charge nothing to do with them. I have never had this problem before and I have ordered a lot of products online, but obviously this was my mistake not reading into the small print of their shipping terms. But because this was my own fault I had to pay the charges.

Then when I got my order it turns out I had ordered two of the same lipgloss -  Butter Cream, and the two lipsticks I got were identical in colour - 1995 and Rodeo Drive, this being my own fault obviously, but I think the excitement got the better of me when I was placing the order.

But anyway the products themsleves are fantastic and I am very pleased with them. They are gorgeous with beautiful packaging, I cant understand why anyone would moan about it.

Although I would not order from the direct site again (I would like to avoid another custom charges bill) there products are now available to buy from 'Beauty Bay' so that's where I would order them from. Overall my experience wasn't too bad, there were just aspects of it that could have been improved and it should be made more clear that you have to pay custom charges. But in the end the products I have are all beautiful and I am very pleased with them.

This is obviously just my own experience I cant speak for anyone else xxx

Must Have Product - June

Hello again... so of course I was sat here with my usual cup of coffee (may be verging onto a slight addiction now ;)) but anyway I was thinking about what to write and I thought I would share my must have product of June with you, as June is nearly over.

So without further ado my must have product of June is 'The Body Shop Warming Mineral Mask'. It is a face mask which is self-warming and a deep cleansing kaolin clay treatment for all skin types. It is absolutely brilliant, it feels so lovely on the skin when it warms up, and it really leaves your skin feeling clean and smooth afterwards. After using it throughout June I really noticed a difference in my skin, it all seemed to balance out, the oily parts became less oily, the dry parts became hydrated, less black heads were visible on my skin in the areas such as my chin and nose. Also any breakouts I had before and when I first started using the mask had completely cleared up also leaving no marks or scaring.

So how to use the product:
Apply a generous layer to clean wet skin, leave for 5 minutes, rinse. Use once or twice a week. Avoid lip and eye area.

I honestly highly recommend this product, it is £10 and the tube is 100ml so can be used a lot of times.

It would be great to hear anyone else's must haves for June, comment below with yours, thanks xxx

Mini Reviews

A cup of coffee in the morning.... now that's a good start. Did I also mention my slight tea and coffee obsession, I probably drink enough for an entire family.

Anyway back to the beauty side of life and I feel a good start would be talking about what I am currently using in April. For starters I have just jumped onto the coco-white bandwagon. It really is quite good, I haven't been using it for long but I feel I can see results and my mouth and teeth feel much cleaner and healthier. After you get passed the fact it is like squeezing Vaseline in your mouth the flavors available are not too bad, my favourite being the vanilla one as it tastes just like milky bar chocolate. This product makes my mouth feel so clean afterwards and after I have swirled for 15 minutes I actually feel accomplished! I ordered mine of the official website and it arrived very quickly and their delivery service was brilliant they even give you a time and name of who would be delivering it.

Next on the list which I was a bit late to use is the Clinique moisture surge extended thirst relief gel-cream formula. Now I got completely sucked into the limited addition size as everyone was raving about it I thought it must be amazing lets pay £50 for the 125ml size. I couldn't have been more wrong, In all honesty every time I use it I cant stop thinking about how much of a waste of money it is. My Simple daily facial moisturiser is just as good and a tenth of the cost. It just doesn't do it for me, I feel that the skin around my nose is dryer than it has ever been. (My skin type is normal to dry) Also because it is a gel it takes so long to soak into the skin, it says it can be used as a hydrating mask which would probably be better. Alongside this product I have been using the moisture surge face spray, which I have really been enjoying, it really is lovely and refreshing to spray onto the skin and I really feel its brightens the face instantly.

Then we have the Nars stage, for me this began around Christmas time, I thought why not buy the lip gloss Turkish delight (supposedly Kim Kardashian used it for sometime), and also why not buy Nars laguna bronzer again in a limited edition size. If you start to see a pattern yes I get totally sucked in when it comes to shopping! Now both these products have had some serious hype surrounding them so better late than never .... the lip gloss is absolutely amazing and I most definitely will be trying out more of the colours, its just a lovely pale pink to wear on a a daily basis. The bronzer is just amazing as well, especially as we are coming into the warmer weather (well in England we are hoping for warmer weather), it is a lovely colour and works perfectly as a bronzer or contour, it is such a smooth consistency as well, I thoroughly enjoy using it. The only thing with it is I find you need to use a very light hand otherwise it could look too muddy.

These are what I have been using through April, everyone will have different opinions these are just my honest thoughts.
